Voting Lessons

This Monday was election time for PUNE.

I thought we were supposed to :: LET THE BEST MAN WIN .

But as I later realised , it is not that straightfoward , it is a bit more complicated .

You have to analyse the close competition between the other candidates , abt the party at the Centre , you may also have to vote for the ineffective and may just deprieve the Good Guy of his share. My sister also thought of her evening 'date' while going to vote . " How the BIG ink-mark would affect the impact her 'dress and make up' has on the 'Sonu Nigam' lookalike " - was a important factor in deciding who rules India for the next 5 years . ( Next ...you may hear that Sonu Nigam has joined Politics...after his brilliant acting career !!)

They just told us that we should VOTE , whom and why I am still confused.

p.s. - 'THEY' in the above sentence refers to the authors of my 10th std Civics text book.

p.p.s.- I dont have a sister ; queries regarding my sister will not be tolerated.
