how bizzare !!

Saw this moving featuring Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan.
They dont meet till the end of the movie.She knows the outline story about his life - Tom Hanks is a widower;With one kid who wants a partner for his father...and that wish he expresses over radio over X'mas which Meg Ryan responds to.The wish comes true.

Somehow , the fact that they dont have a two-way communication till the end baffled me in this story.Exit.

Sleepless In Pune
Another widower(immaterial) is planning to represent my country and this she wishes on all communication media possible on all festivals possible and to which majority of people responded.The wish comes true.

Somehow , the fact that she was nowhere close to the best people to rule the country has baffled me in this story.Therefore, sleepless.Exit.

Does the fault lie in the algorithm we use 'to choose' in both the stories ?

P.S. - In case u are too desperate to watch a nice , light movie - Watch 'Jerry Maguire' , it is 10 times better than the 'sleepy in wherever'.
